About Hackathon

Insilico Medicine is proud to present the first Bioinformatics Hackathon in Abu Dhabi — a one-day event designed to bring together biologists, data scientists, and bioinformaticians to collaborate and innovate. This event promises to be a day of intense learning, collaboration, and problem-solving, making it a must-attend for anyone in the field of bioinformatics.

Tasks to Tackle

Participants will be asked to address some of the world's most critical health issues such as obesity and type 2 diabetes by utilizing big data and artificial intelligence during the hackathon. This event will not only be a competition but also a chance to contribute to global health solutions, devise innovative strategies, and expand the scope of bioinformatics. A range of captivating tasks will also be presented, including investigating the potential of natural products like curcumin or frankincense for disease prevention, forecasting disease progression using genomic data, or creating algorithms for personalized medicine.

How to Participate

Register as a participant using this website.
Arrive at IRENA Building, Masdar City, Block A by 9:00 AM, November 11.
Choose one of the real-world problems carefully selected by the experts.
Work with the team under the supervision of industry professionals.
Present your results and get a chance to win an internship at Insilico Medicine and other prizes.

Prizes will be awarded for the most innovative and effective solutions.

1st Place: 6000 AED + Summer internship at Insilico
2nd Place: 4000 AED
3rd Place: 2000 AED
